I have literally tried everything. The one that surprised me that didn't work was three warriors and a hedge wizard. Those warriors would mop everything up and then it would be over in an instant.
But then they started missing.
Now I've got the original party except my priest is an archer.
Priests don't like sharp objects in D & D. But no worries. He hits
for 25 guaranteed and the occasional 40-60.
Three toons didn't work. Experience drops off for higher level
toons and thus it's a geometrical arithmetic or exponential geometric comparison, but those guys just don't advance.

Walkthrough says archers don't do it for him.
Introduce the minimal archer. I'm looking for low hits, around 30
hp an attack and maybe 3 points invested into bow.
