A broken nose can cause pain, and it is common to get a nosebleed. You may have swelling and bruising around your nose and under your eyes. Your nose may look crooked, and you may have trouble breathing through it. Treatment for a broken nose may include
    procedures that realign your nose.

An extremely mashed nose can cause you to sound like a duck. The scars
heal after 7-10 days, aligning to the new structure permanently. All your friends will leave you and you will have to make new ones.

Aha. Perhaps that is why that Scottish fellow who used to post here claimed the Americans he saw sounded like ducks--the American tourists prolly all had mashed noses.

I guess it's somewhat common. But I want to assure you
this guy hit me with everything. That's not necessarily going
to be the case in other punches in the nose. He hated me
because of a mutual friend we had. It didn't hurt that much,
but there was a lot of blood. I kept fighting only to maintain
    my dignity.
