Before the Shutdown there were 20,000 New Cases daily, in the USA Nationwide, and
2,000 New Cases daily in California. Since the shutdown ended, there are nearly
80,000 New Cases daily in the USA Nationwide, and 9,000 New Cases Daily in California. An examination of the number of tests given during the shutdown and
since the shutdown ended, shows that twice as many tests are given now as were given at the end of the shutdown. There are thus, truly, at least twice as many,
New Cases daily, of COVID now, in both the USA Nationwide, and in California, as
at the end of the shutdown. And perhaps more than that, as more tests can be indicative of more people feeling sick and asking for tests. That means, the doubling in the number of tests, is not necessarily by itself, the reason for the
doubling of the doubling of the number of cases. But possibly more sickness.
