    Dear Josie,
It was very wonderful to get
    your letter. That cheered, and
warmed my heart the whole day.
And that day really did need warming. It froze overnight and
any outside water was frozen over 1/4' thick.
During the day it never got over 42 degrees!!

We are very glad that you like the books.
We like books with facts also. We agree that
weird but true facts are interesting.

Your address is on Waterview Place. But on a
map I do not see any water near you. Is that
a 'weird fact'? Have you ever wondered why
they picked that name? Hmm, seems like the
'water' is on the other side of a busy street
and behind a big metal gate. I think that
    seems a bit 'weird'.

How do you like your new house? I heard that
it even has it's own swimming pool. Did you get all
practiced up for safety with your back float?
Are you still using the pool?

It looks like you can walk to school now.
Do you miss the bus ride?

Do you and your mother ever walk to the
Albertson's store? Can you remember when
I was visiting and you said you wanted a
'corn dog'. And we walked to Fry's and
bought a package of them. I think that was a
neat adventure. And then they tasted especially
    good after the walk.

Have you started reading the book "The Invention
of Hugo Cabret" yet? Have you seen the movie?
I see that there is a 56 minute version of it on
    'youtube'.

We love you and plan to write more soon.
