First to Review
I know Barbara as a colleague. She is a warm & spiritual
psychotherapist. She works strictly with individuals (refers out couples
to me and other couples specialists).

Barbara is extremely unprofessional and disorganized.
She saw my child 3 times. Each time we had to remind her of the problems
we were there. Instead of trying to get to the bottom of our problems,
she took stabs in the dark and asked if I agreed. At our last
appointment, she told us "well, I don't know what I can do about it."
She cut our hour short and still charged my insurance for a full
session. When I called the billing department of the clinic, the rep
told me she too had issues with Barbara's attitude first hand. I'm in
the processes of disputing being billed for a full hour.
She did nothing to help my child. If you or your child are looking for
help with anxiety or bullying, Barbara is not the answer.

THERAPUETIC APPROACH
My theoretical orientation incorporates Solution Oriented (present and
future focus solution creation for problems) Systems (focus on all
aspects affecting individual’s life, e.g. family, school, work,
neighborhood, nutrition, etc.), Cognitive (focus on core beliefs
affecting well-being), Client-centered (respect for each person on their current level of readiness for change), and Existential (focus on
difficulty with major life decisions, grief/loss, loss of meaning) and
body based Somatic Psychotherapy for the treatment of anxiety and trauma individually tailored to the client’s needs.
