    things should be in Memorial

Lee was always particularly proud that he raised 4 children,
and got them all through college and into higher middle class
    situations.

Lee always practiced volunteering, and he did it for
many causes. This was recognized by the City of Bothell
which recognized his 22 years service for the City
on the Library Board and Civil Service Commission. He enjoyed
multiple summer weeks volunteering as a chaparone at both
Boy and Girl Scout camps. He was an dedicated and elected
Precinct Committeeman for over a dozen years. Since he
was active in sports car racing, he made sure to volunteer
in many capacities and was on the IRDC Board of Directors
    for a dozen years.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles appreciated his service as
a Past Worthy President, 12 years as a Trustee, and thousands
of hours volunteering. In his later years he contributed
to the Edmonds College Foundation regularly with tuition
and fees for students that needed a bit of assistance to
    finish their college programs.

Lee was born ---- -- 1947 in Renton Wa. to Alfred F---- and

in apartments over gas stations his parents operated. First in
Factoria, then 3 miles east of Issaquah for his public school years.
When Lee was 11, he was predeceased by his only older brother Duane as a pedestrian victim of the Mercer Island freeway reversible lanes. This unexpected death, along with those of pets, had a definite effect on
    Lee's views of life expectations.

Lee very early on learned the value of hard work and fulfilling customer expectations in gas station and grocery store operations. In June 1965
he graduated from Issaquah High School.

As my birthday gift in 1962 (I had no driver's license) my mother took
me down to Pacific Raceways for their first big high quality sports car
race. In that race, All-American hero and top-notch quality driver Dan
Gurney drove the above car, The red #96 Lotus 19 sports racer sponsored
by Arciero Brothers to the win. I thought it all was SOOO COOL. I guess
I was hooked. Nobody will ever know about the other turns that might
have been taken, but certainly that day did change my life. Thank you
mother. Thank you father. It has been an exciting time to be involved
with great people in motor sports, from 1962 through so far 2022. Thank
you to all who have helped me in so many ways.
