"Fight" for evidence-based transgender health care, despite the fact
that the conservative approach for transgender treatment in young people
is already being used based on currently limited evidence.
Smear the gender-affirming health care as experimental conversion
therapy, despite actually being exactly the opposite of that when you
read the material referenced.
Use outdated and refuted science to "prove" that conversion therapy is effective, yet ignore modern scientific articles that prove conversion
therapy doesn't work.
Purposely claim that there is no evidence for something despite knowing
very well that there is actually evidence for it.
"Protect" children under 18 for making serious medical decisions, when
in fact, puberty blockers buy them extra time after a long therapy only
to those children who are "insistent, consistent and persistent (?)" in affirmation of their gender identity. Transgender hormone treatment is prescribed only when the child turns 16 after the court involvement
(which is semi-reversible) and no permanent surgeries are done before
the age of 18.
Tell it will be their own decision to transition after they turn 18, yet postpone it until they are 25 and bullshit to their parents about how
they were brainwashed by the non-existent "trans cult". Even if they
turn 25, ignore them and don't allow anyone to transition.
Claim they are being "silenced", despite succesfully managing to push
their propaganda in the UK that no one under 18 should get puberty
blockers, not matter how bad child's gender dysphoria is. Everyone knows
what the fuss is all about them from the first pages of newspapers and
breaking news on TV and social media. For example, J.K. Rowling.
"Fighting" censorship through allowing alternative discourse, while
censoring anything that refutes or contradicts their propaganda.
Believe that cisgender people can be turned transgender, while it can't
be done backwards. Common sense says that if you can't make anyone
cisgender, you can't turn anybody transgender.
Despite accusing us, trans people, of spreading propaganda, they
themselves spread destructive and transphobic propaganda.
As a trans person, I can say that it's fine to detransition, I don't
stop anyone from detransitioning, but this is something that should be
as well thought as transitioning. Some detransitioners are cis, but
that's rare. Most are trans who do it for various reasons, for example health-related concerns, discrimination, financial concerns, etc.
--
There is no verifiable evidence that gender dysphoria can be treated in
other ways than transitioning. None whatsoever.
Gender-affirmative trans care *requires* therapy. That is, unless you go
the informed consent route, which you can always refuse to.
Scaring trans people away from transitioning and repressing their
identities *IS* conversion therapy.
