On Wednesday I passed my Ph.D. thesis proposal defence. I had to talk for 30 minutes and then three examiners spent 15 minutes each asking questions and then they spent 10 minutes each asking a second round of questions, and I didn’t crack under the stress. At the end they told me that I had passed
and that no changes were needed to my written proposal. It should take me another 1.5 years to finish the Ph.D.
