Sick minds! I'll tell you, Usenet is the last refuge of sick minds.

    Ned

Yeah, I admit to being reminded of the female sexual organ. Our minds are definitely hardwired for sex. They say we are also hardwired for religion. Who can figure us out?

Actually we may also be hardwired for war. Don't get me wrong, I prefer sex.

There is evidence that we are hardwired (from mild to severe, depending on the individual) to seek things beyond us, which some have translated into god and religion.

We are also certainly hardwired for survival and greed, which some have translated into war.

Maybe war and religion are hardwired together, and sex is a healthy alternative to both.

Enlightenment today entails having become a conscientious objector, a
poet, musician, dancer, comedian, artist, philosopher, and above
    all, a lover.

As for sex, it or its absence, obtain the furrows from which human
    enlightenment stems.

Are the monks unenlightened? That seems to stem from your definition.

monks resemble gestating puppae waiting to wake :)

They are perfect except that they can't procreate and make more monks. I think they fear women.

God thought Adam needed Eve and see all the trouble it created.
