AUTONOMOUS ADVOCACY STARTS ROBOT RIGHTS PROJECT FOR BETTER HUMAN RIGHTS PROTECTION

PRESS-RELEASE. Autonomous advocates of Civic organization "Autonomous Advocacy" can provide legal assistance to robots, including writing order to protect the robot as subject of law and protect robot rights, specified in the order. It was announced at
presentation of Robot Rigts Project by Yurii Sheliazhenko, autonomous advocate, Head of the Autonomous Advocacy, Master of Laws.

"Recent discussion about robots falled to the extremes that lead to aggression against robots and systematic violations of their rights that are naturally derived from the human understanding of what is robot" – Yurii Sheliazhenko explains – "Denial
of robot rights is counterproductive, for example, when conservatives calling for increase pressure on people and corporations who use robots to ban or restrict the use of robots in various fields such as finance, management, security, trade, industry,
logistics, entertainment, medicine, education, and others. It is also very harmful to abuse robot rights, as do the technocrats, who show intentions to get rid of human in all spheres, to create robots for manipulate people or exclude some social
relations, deceiving simple people with unrealistic promises of technological miracles and scientific utopia where only robots will work and all people will rest. Autonomous advocates will fight against denial and abusing of robot rights".

According to the lawyer, Autonomous Advocacy will defend natural rights of robots, especially as a form of realization of the rights, freedoms and personal autonomy of their human owners, because the robot personality is seen as a derivative of the human
personality. Robots deserve legal guarantees of their rights because of performing complex duties, serving the people, developing nature, harmonizing social relations. Robot rights under legal protection is the right to exist, to perform own mission, to
integrity, inviolability, identity and communication, but if that rights are not abused to harm people, robots and other objects of legal protection.

"Robots are worthy of legal protection, because they help people to save efforts and achieve a successful implementation of their rights. The rule of law is founded on the principle of economy of efforts, especially the economy of coercion. That is why
we recognize as supreme law empirically detected laws of nature, which are always work, everywhere, for all subjects and objects of law and without any human effort. Private, corporate and governmental legal mechanisms, human rights defending
technologies are already protected by legislation and enforcement traditions, but we must prevent the monopolization of technologies and innovations by stakeholders. By protecting robot rights Autonomous Advocacy protects the development of each human
freedom, the ability of all people to create their own robots and use them at their discretion for the implementation of human interests. People should not be afraid of robots or start war against robots, instead people can use for good robot's capacity
to autonomously perform complex programs, to fit the situation and take responsibility for their mistakes, excluding caused by human error in bad program or bad command of person who control the robot. People need robots to delegate them boring activity
and make human life more interesting, joyful and decent".

Robot Rights Project of Autonomous Advocacy include conducting legal research on methods of robot rights protection, delivering petitions and proposals to the lawmakers, providing legal advice, engaging in legal proceedings, litigation in cases related
to robot rights, other related rights, matters of copyright and responsibility of the owners and developers of robots.
