Without significant Democrat support Youngkin could not have won in a
state that Biden took by 10%. Oh and the Minneapolis proposal to
dismantle the police department was defeated. Could it be that the
voters are fed up with the left wing crap being rammed down their
throats?

It's the economy: inflation, supply shortages and the job market, all
being driven by the lingering pandemic.

That may be part of it, but it's also an open border, Afghanistan,
labeling parents who oppose CRT/1619 domestic terrorists, the prospect
of $450K+ to migrant parents and children, trillions in spending bills
that Pelosi refuses to allow the CBO to evaluate, destruction of US
energy independence and the XL pipeline, resulting in lost jobs, high
energy prices, and ironically demands that the Middle East produce
more oil and charge less. And then, with or without Minneapolis,
Democrat controlled cities are swept with crime, demands to defund the police, and tearing down of the statues of our founders.
I know you would disagree, but it seems to me, and apparently many
voters, including some in your Party, that the extreme Left is running
the show in the White House and has plans for us that radically differ
from the ideals of our Constitution and are perhaps more in line with
those of Karl Marx and European Socialism.

Your viewpoint is held only by a subset of those who voted against Biden
in 2020, not the folks who crossed over in 2021.

OK, but I believe you are wrong about that. Tuesday was about a lot
more than shortages and inflation.

And, Virginians are not insulated from what is happening in the rest
of the country. Statues of Washington, Jefferson, and Columbus torn
down, Antifa and BLM rioting, soaring crime rates, illegals pouring
across the border, Biden Admin hints of enormous payments to illegal
alien parents, etc. If you don't like Virginia, just wait for the
mid-terms. (-8

That's a big IF.
I majored in economics and spent 30 years working in
the banking and finance industry, so I have an interest in the subject
-- an interest that guides my politics -- that and a devotion to the
free speech principles of the First Amendment. The Left has serious
problems in both areas.

On that we agree. We also likely agree that if Biden's approval rating
stays the same, we will say hello to Speaker McCarthy and Senate leader >McConnell.
