Oh, I see in another post that you didn't get the shot. Aha! Confirms
my decision that you are an idiot. By the way -- do a little more
research on the Spanish Flu. By some estimates the Spanish flu may
have killed between 50 and 100 million worldwide. You may find that
delightful. I don't, but then again I'm not an idiot.

The USA had 625,000 deaths from the Spanish flu. Soon that figure will
be surpassed or maybe it already has.

Peter, is that an argument against vaccination? Is that, in your mind,
(and I suppose David's) proof that vaccination is pointless? If it is
I would remind you that the US population has tripled since 1918,
technology has vastly change, as has the transportation system, and
the medical system. Any attempt to compare 2021 to 1918 is to put it
politely, ridiculous. I have been vaccinated, as has my wife. A simple
stick of a needle, a sore arm for a few hours,
another a few weeks later -- over and done. Barring a medical reason
not to do it, I cannot think of a good reason not to be vaccinated.
    Can you? Let's hear it.

Don't be one of these ...

Good! My apologies. I mistook you for another David. In my case
    Moderna and my wife Pfizer.

On the mask thing, saw something interesting on the news last night.
Studies have shown that fabric masks are not nearly as effective as
the traditional medical masks -- which can be washed and retain about
    3/4ths of their effectiveness.

The law of nature declares that even in a society that prides itself
on high quality medical care, for the population to grow, or sustain
itself each woman must have on average 2.1 children. That 2.1 is known
as a fertility rate. The US is currently at 1.83, below replacement,
as is the rest of the "1st World", including Europe and East Asia.
Italy is so hard up they will give you a free house if you agree to
move there. Population growth is in the Hell holes of Africa and South
America which is why they are migrating here -- sigh. The US and
European growth problem is in that migration, not birth rates or the
71 year old guy on your bowling team. If you are so whacked out and
resentful of that 71 year old, do you intend to end it all at some
    specific age? I hope not.
