New Jersey public school second graders will be getting lessons related
to gender identity this fall under state sex education guidelines that
    will take effect in September.

The standards listed "performance expectations" for second graders,
which include discussing "the range of ways people express their gender
and how gender role stereotypes may limit behavior."

Educators in the Garden State are preparing to carry out the teaching standards, which were established in 2020 but not required to be
    enacted until Sept. 2022.

One school district in the state distributed sample lesson plans
indicating first graders could be taught they can have "boy parts" but
    "feel like" a girl.

    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/new-jersey-second-graders-learn-gender-identity-alarming-parents

This is why Republicans will take over the House and Senate.

Are the democrats so stupid they don't know they are just hurting
    themselves?

They said the same thing about supporting gay rights 30 years ago. In
time, more and more people will come to understand gender identity in a
    similar manner.

Firstly, the belief that gender identity need not match chromosomal sex
is not inconsistent with having only two genders. Secondly, I have no
illusions the majority disagree with me. But 20 years from now, they
    will agree with me.

Of course Gay people exist. Don't lecture me on that. I spent my
civilian working career in San Franciso. I worked for Gays, with Gays,
and Gays worked for me. The best man I ever worked for was Gay, as was
the worst. However, Broaching sexuality in a 1st grade classroom, with
children who just graduated from kindergarten, seems to me to be
    inappropriate and reek of politics.

The standards listed "performance expectations" for second

Educators in the Garden State are preparing to carry out the

You are badly mistaken if you think most democrats agree with you.

Nearly 3 in 4 American adults believe there only are two genders, a
    new Rasmussen Reports survey found.

Firstly, the belief that gender identity need not match chromosomal
sex is not inconsistent with having only two genders. Secondly, I
have no illusions the majority disagree with me. But 20 years from
now, they will agree with me.

That depends on if it is allowed to be taught in schools. When the
republicans take over they will prevent that from happening.

The Republicans can do anything political they want to in the short
term. In the long term, the truth wins out. And the truth is you can
have boy parts but feel like a girl.

I can see you are one of those left wing extremist that is destroying
the democrat party. I thought you were smarter than that.

It's the Democratic party, not democrat (that's a childish thing some on
the Right do). And although my position is not popular today, it 1)
isn't destroying the party, and 2) will be popular in the future. It's
the same path marriage equality took (not popular, didn't destroy,
eventually became popular because it's based on the truth that gay
    people exist and are normal).

Of course Gay people exist. Don't lecture me on that. I spent my
civilian working career in San Franciso. I worked for Gays, with Gays,
and Gays worked for me. The best man I ever worked for was Gay, as was
the worst. However, Broaching sexuality in a 1st grade classroom, with children who just graduated from kindergarten, seems to me to be inappropriate and reek of politics.

Saying to first graders that one can have boy body parts but feel like a
girl isn't broaching sexuality in an inappropriate manner.

The Democrat party is not democratic.

Gay people do exist, but they are not normal.

Thirty years ago that viewpoint was mainstream and the belief gays are
normal was radical. The opposite is true now.

I can wiggle my right ear. That's not "normal", but I'm OK with that.
Autism is not "normal", but Einstein and Newton were believed to be
    autistic. OK?

There is more than one connotation to "normal." Johnny is using "normal"
to mean acceptable, implying not normal is not acceptable. He is not
using the connotation of common, implying not normal is uncommon without >saying anything about being acceptable.

I would say that Gay is not normal, and can frequently lead to
behavior that most straights would consider unacceptable. For
instance, NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association -- At one
time headquartered in San Francisco). Then there is a molestation
problem that almost single handedly destroyed the Boy Scouts and
plagued the Catholic church. Gay men who dress up like nuns -- Sisters
of Perpetual indulgence. Sexually transmitted diseases heavily impact
the Gay male community. AIDS, Syphilis, etc.

"Once nearly eliminated in the U.S., syphilis is increasing,
especially among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men
    (MSM)"
    https://www.cdc.gov/std/syphilis/STDFact-MSM-Syphilis.htm

A long time San Francisco resident, I could go on (it gets worse), but
    I will spare you.

BTW -- A Gay VP I worked for, and liked, made a mistake that cost him
his job. He promoted a Gay man he lived with to be one of his regional
managers, and a direct report. His manager found out (not from me) and
transferred him to a post that amounted to an invitation to resign --
which he did. Are you OK with that? I am.

Assuming the rule applies to straights as well, yes.
It would, which is why I'm OK with it.

This is what qualifies as "normal" in July 2021 ...
"HIV Risk Among Men Who Have Sex with Men
MSM are disproportionately at risk for HIV infection. In the United
States, the estimated lifetime risk for HIV infection among MSM is one
in six, compared with heterosexual men at one in 524 and heterosexual
women at one in 253 (191). These disparities are further exacerbated
by race and ethnicity, with African American/Black and Hispanic/Latino
MSM having a one in two and a one in four lifetime risk for HIV
    infection, respectively."
    https://www.cdc.gov/std/treatment-guidelines/msm.htm

Normal is obviously a word with different meanings to different
people, but the CDC stats are facts.
