I couldn't get broadband unless I had cable tv as well. I couldn't get
cable tv for my old crt tv, so I had to wait. In the meantime I was paying
for both broadband and cable tv for about a year without having tv. Then I finally bought a digital tv, which I've been watching constantly since I got it. I was just tv starved. I was just perception-starved. I'd write a ton
of stuff without any feedback. Now I have all the feedback I'd ever want,
both radio and tv, although it's not exactly "feedback". Too much output without any input is off balance. It's not healthy.
