The LEGALITY, never mind the politics, of treating

THUGS is very very iffy. Unlike almost all the world,
the USA is still kind of a Land Of The Free. You are
entitled to your stupid ideas no matter HOW stupid
and destructive. The best idea usually wins out, but
it is rarely a direct path.

Now in most OTHER countries, even in the EU, the
State would have just sent in the storm troopers to
put down and imprison the anarchists. You are NOT
entitled to ideas the State deems incorrect in most
of the world.
