    Personally? I think it likely that eventually he would have warn off. That, SOMETHING
    would have soured the public view of him, killing off his movement and any hopes
    for his successors.

    Famine? Epidemic? Eventually he would have been defeated in war...

    But that's just speculation.

    But it's no more or less valid than just about anything else.
