Hoping that someone who knows their way around records located in the region
of Burie, Charente, France, might be able to help me find some trace of my paratrooper cousin, PFC Alan M. GOOD.

He was treated in a hospital in Burie for wounds inflicted either due to, or after,
his parachute drop into the region on D-Day. He died there on D-Day+1,
and his remains were sent back to his home city of Chicago much later.

As he was evidently treated in a hospital in Burie, I am hoping that any hospital that still exists in that town might still hold records.

Any ideas? Need all the help I can get, as none of the records I currently hold even mention France, and I would have to assume that if any records did exist, they would have burned in the 1973 National Archives fire.

    Thank you for any help,
    Sandi Root
