Hi friends,
I have spent the day researching one family. Found a lot of information but..stuck in Virginia.
Richard E. Rittenberg was born September 18, 1925 in New York. He died November 6, 2011 where unknown. FindAGrave gave date but nothing else. He
is not buried next to his wife.
Wife 1 Joyce (divorced) lived in California and died there April 15, 1986.
Wife 2 Helgard lived in Virginia and died there September 11, 2018 as a
widow. Hers was the only obituary I could find. I even called the funeral home. She is resting at Sherwood Cemetery in Salem, Virginia. The obituary was in the Roanoke Times. Richard is not at that cemetery.
Question 1 - Is Salem and McLean close to Roanoke?
Question 2 - Does Sherwood Cemetery have a Jewish section?
Question 3 - any other suggestions where I may look for an obituary (if
there was one) and/or cemetery?
Thank you. Happy and healthy New Year. Hope you have an easy fast.
