The Jewish Genealogical Society of Oregon announces a program on
Researching Jewish Families. Many families had no surnames for many
years. Names were changed when they came to America, and endogamy,
the practice of marriage among "tribal" members, made figuring out
family connections difficult. Janice Sellers, a nationally-known
professional genealogist, will speak to these issues and others, to
help you research your family and build your tree. JGSO programs are
open to the general public. Help Desk will be available from 10:00 to
DATE: Sunday October 13, 2019
