    The name of my grandmother's oldest sister was Esther Tzirl Levine (Leurie) TAUFIELD.
    Her paternal grandfather's name was Michal LEURIE/LURIA (or a version of Leurie) from
    Lodz, Poland. Why would Esther claim, on her daughter's birth certificate
    ( Augusta/Gussie TAUFIELD), that her maiden name was MICHALOWITZ?
