    INVITATION TO SUBMIT SURNAMES FOR ISSUE NO. 11. You are
    invited to make surname submissions for publication in the eleventh
    issue of the West Indies Surname Interests List. Surnames are
    welcome for any West Indian country, including Anguilla, Antigua,
    Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Barbuda, Belize, Bermuda, Bonaire,
    British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Curacao, Dominica,
    Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo), French Guiana, Grenada,
    Guadeloupe, Guyana, Haiti (St. Domingue), Jamaica, Martinique,
    Montserrat, Nevis, Panama, Providencia and Santa Catalina Islands,
    Puerto Rico, Saba, St. Barthelemy, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts, St.
    Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname,
    Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos Islands, and U.S. Virgin
    Islands.
    WHAT IT IS . . . The West Indies Surname Interests List is a
    list of West Indian surnames of interest to researchers with e-mail capabilities. The List is organized by West Indian country. There
    is no charge for submitting or subscribing. The Surname List is
    distributed to subscribers by e-mail. The last issue contained
    4,016 surnames entries from 702 researchers covering 39 West Indian countries. The last issue can be downloaded or searched from my
    Web site:
    http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/vroyal.
    SUBSCRIBE BY E-MAIL OR WEB PAGE . . . Since the West Indies
    Surname Interests List is a big document to receive by e-mail (more
    than 150 printed pages), you also have the option to retrieve or
    view it from my web page
    (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/vroyal). If you choose
    the web page option, you will still receive e-mail messages from me
    telling you when new issues of the Surname List are available on
    the web page. If you are a new subscriber or an existing
    subscriber who wants to convert to web page subscription, send me
    an e-mail message saying "subscribe web page".
    IF YOU PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED SURNAMES . . . you do not need to
    resubmit them for Issue No. 11. They will continue to appear as
    long as you have a working e-mail address. You may, of course,
    submit more surnames, modify your existing surname entries, or
    change your e-mail address, if you wish.
    HOW TO SUBMIT. Send me a message (Vaughn Royal,
    vro...@compuserve.com) including:
    1. Your name;
    2. Your e-mail address (one only, please);
    3. Your location (city, state/province/parish and country); and
    4. For each surname you are researching:
    a. Surname (including spelling variations);
    b. West Indian country (if not known, you may use "West
    Indies");
    c. Locality in which surname is of interest, if known (e.g.,
    parish, county, department, region, etc.); and
    d. The time frame for which you have information (limited to
    12 characters; please be concise).
    5. Subscription method: Either "Subscribe E-Mail" (meaning you
    want to automatically receive issues of the Surname List by e-
    mail) or "Subscribe Web Page" (meaning you will retrieve
    issues of the Surname List from my web page). If you do not
    specify, I will assume you want an e-mail subscription.
    You may submit as many surnames as you like. Recognizing the fact
    that e-mail is not perfect, if you do not receive a confirmation
    message from me within five days, send your submission message
    again.
    ISSUE NO. 11 SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Please e-mail your surname
    submissions to me so that they are received not later than
    November 19, 1997. Issue No. 11 will be sent to e-mail
    subscribers and available on my web page on or about November 22,
    1997.
