Henry FISHER came around the "Horn" to San Francisco from New Jersey, arriving in San Francisco on 5 Apr 1859. He may not of had his wife and
son with him on that trip.

The CA State Library Death Indexes has: Henry FISHER, age 75, d 18 Apr
1913 Sacramento, CA (this would have made him 75 yrs., 4 mo., 18 days,
    being b in 1838).

CENSUS: 1860 CA, found 3 Henry Fisher's, Placer, San Joaquin & San
Francisco Cos., have not been able to check them out as yet.

    CENSUS: 1870 CA: Sacramento Co., San Joaquin Twp., p. 398B;
Henry Fisher age 42 b Hol (1828 Holstein).

CENSUS: 1890 CA, Great Register, Sacramento, CA, Dist. #1, Prct. #3,
    Reg. 08 Aug 1890:
Henry Fisher age 52 b Germany, 510 "J" St., his son Herman Christian
Fisher was also in Dist. #1, Prct. #4, age 27 b NJ

CH: Herman Christian Fisher, Henry J. Fisher, Jr., Lizzie, & Nellie.

Henry Fisher was a Candy Manufacturer in early Sacramento, his candy
won many awards at the State Fair. I would very much like to work with
other descendants on this family and exchange FGS.

Dear Helen: Johanette Henrietta Hellwig Fisher was my Great Grandmother Elizabeth Hellwig’s sister. My third cousin, Christian Hellwig, grandson of Elizabeth & Johanette’s brother, Christian, has been researching the Hellwig family. Elizabeth
Hellwig married Conrad Renzel and they had 8 children, four of whom lived to adulthood. They were Amalie, Ernest Henry, Emma, and Herman Renzel. Ernest Henry Renzel was my grandfather and his son, Ernest Henry Renzel, Jr. was my father. I have
Amalie and Emma's scrapbooks of advertising cards, including a lot of cards from H. Fisher & Co.

Below is the information from the cards.

    H. Fisher & Co. Wholesale and Retail Candy Factory, 508 & 510 J Street, Sacramento
Also Henry Fisher’s Restaurant, Ice Cream, & Dining Saloon., 508 J Street Also name above with "Confectionery & Fancy Cake Factory” added
And “California Cracker Co.’s Crackers sold at retail”

Maybe your family saved similar advertising cards.

Here is a photo I found on a google search. Emily Renzel

    P.S. I, too, was born in 1941
