My G-G-G-G-G-G-grandfather William (signed his name "Ulrich") Kiener
came over with his 2 brothers, Adam & Hans (as well as 53 other Palatine families) on the ship James Goodwill from Rotterdam, Holland and landed
in Philly on Sept 27, 1727. Oddly, when they signed their names on this
list, Adam spelled the last name "Kinner" while his brothers Ulrich &
Hans signed the last name "Kiner".

I cannot locate WHERE they are from, nor their parents. According to
several other researchers of this line, one claims their father is
Caspar and several others claim their parents were Peter Kiener &
Catherine Ulrich who were supposedly married in 1717.

Either this couple or this marriage date cannot be correct, since Adam, William Ulrich, & Hans had 9 family members with them and I highly doubt
the boys made the journey (with wives) at the pre-teen/teen age.

Supposedly, Peter & Catherine did come over later, and I do have a copy
of Peter's will with Catherine as the administerix in 1757 with several children (as well as the 3 boys) listed; yet I could find no
documentation anywhere that Peter & Catherine came to Pennsylvania &
took the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Abjuration.

I've exhausted all sources known to me in the Genealogy Room in our
county library as well as sources I know on the net. Can someone please direct me to possible places of where to find Peter & Catherine, and
    their homeland?

I feel pretty certain that they came over with the Palatines, and I feel
more certain that their family history is linked to Switzerland.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!!!

    Sincerely,

    Steve :)
