This note follows a recent exchange on Soc Gen Med and tries to explore another confusion about relationships in this extended family.
Is Alexander de St John of Instow (Devon) related to the John de St John of Fonmon (Glamorgan)?
Is either related to the John de St John who married Beatrix Broye?

Alexander was born c 1280 and died c1340, was married to Margaret (poss Arundel) and Elizabeth de Luccombe, the widow of Hugh de Luccombe and mother of the Elizabeth that his son Sir Oliver married. Alexander had other sons Theobald, John and Henry (IPM

John was born c 1278, and was married to Elizabeth de Umfreville (3/2/1296 -3/9/1347) and had at least one son Oliver who also married Elizabeth de Luccombe.
