    Hi all,
Sir William de Briwere of Stoke, Sheriff of Devon (b ca.1145, d 1226).
His wife is said to have been Beatrix de Vaux, described as a daughter

When looking for information on William de Briwere on the A2A site I
came across two charters. One of which names William's wife as
Angalisia, and one in which William is witness, together with a Lady
Beatrice la Raneleisa, who could possibly be the same person and
    possibly his wife.

La Raneleisa does not appear to be a name, rather a title or
description. Has anyone any idea what it could mean?
    Regards,
    John
William de Bruera is a different person than William Briwere/Brewer. William Bruera was brother-in-law to William Briwere having married his sister Iggelesia/Angalisia Briwere.

As for the other Lady Beatrice-did you read & copy it right? All the sources I've found on the internet states that Philip Salmonville was married to Beatrix, heiress of William, Lord of Hennock. She was also married to Gerard de Clist.
Philip gave the abbot & convent the advowson of the church of Hennock & it was confirmed by Beatrix his wife & William the son of Gerard de Clist.
