• Rising-Nims to high nobility ?

From Denis Beauregard@21:1/5 to All on Thu May 19 21:14:35 2022
    Hi all:

I wonder if someone explored the very long pedigree of my ancestors
Josiah Rising later Ignace Raizenne and Abigail Nims later Elisabeth.

    From FamilySearch entry

    https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/LJYZ-R3H

    the trail would be:

    Nims-Smead
    Smead-Lawrence
    Smead-Stoughton
    (accepted until this generation)

    and then

    Thomas Stoughton and Katherine

    Francis Stoughton and Agnes

    Edward Stoughton and Mary Exhurst

and then many but many ancestors, including high nobility and even
    some king.

I know there is a royal lineage by other Stoughton but I have the
    feeling some are invented.

Looks like too many errors to count.
Walter Culpeper's mother was Joyce Cornard, Thomas Culpeper's second wife, not Alinor (Eleanor) Green. Jan Wolfe has a lot of sourced material on this line. https://www-personal.umich.edu/~bobwolfe/gen/person/g19177.htm

As far as Royal lines none have been found yet but Its full of household Knights. There is a possible Richard I of Normandy Link through the Cornard Family. https://www.quickgen.net/p/de-cornard.html

    Joyce Cornard
Thomas de Cornard II Kt. 1332 - 1393
    Thomas de Cornard I Kt. 1289 - 1348 = by 2nd wife - Margaret - 1342 = 1st wife Lora Fitzralph (Pebmarsh)
    Richard de Cornard III Kt.1256 - 1327 = Christiana - 1292
Richard de Cornard II Kt. 1239 - 1277
    Richard de Cornard I 1206 - 1260 = Lucy - 1250
Unknown de Raimes = John de Cornard -steward of Richard de Clare and Sherriff of Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk, = 1161 - 1243 "In 1203 John de Cornard was granted the custody of lands and marriage of the heir of William de Raimes"
    William de Raimes - 1203 = Egidea
    William de Raimes - 1196 = Sara
Unkown de Vere = Roger de Raimes
Aubrey de Vere II = Adeliza Fitz Richard
    Gilbert Fitz Richard
Richard Fitz Gilbert de Clare =
    Gilbert, Count of Brionne
    Geoffrey, Count of Eu
    Richard I of Normandy
