Could someone, please, help me prove or disprove the following line?Pace/GENE2-0001.html is wrong in shown Isaac White as son of a first eife of Thomas White.
Thomas White and Eleanor Rogers
Isaac White and Maryann Ewell
John White and Sarah
William White and Nancy Nixon
Anne White and Thomas Anderson
My friend James Dow Allen of fabpedigree.com is descended from that last couple.
Eleanor Rogers was daughter of William Rogers and Elizabeth Dale Rogers, daughter of Diana Skipwith Dale, a gateway ancestress with several descents from Edward I.
Isaac White is mentioned as her son in her will, read https://groups.google.com/g/soc.genealogy.medieval/c/gz_l9MVz5zU/m/QX704d9DiFgJ and https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/b/r/o/Linda-Brown-VA/GENE2-0001.html. https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/p/a/c/Janie-H-
The generations that need further checking are Isaac White and John White with the supposed move from Virginia to South Carolina. So? I know this is beyond the time span of the newsgroup, but I find this the best genealogy group.
Virginia Keefe White said at https://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/white/22584/ that she had a copy of Isaac's will but she says he died in Union County, South Carolina while other sources say he died in Frederick, Virginia.
In addition, http://www.clayton-clan.org/gedhtml/tmc/n_f8.html says Isaac White and Mary Ann Ewell never moved to South Carolina.
Note that some sites show Isaac White as having died at 103.

Another problem is that as the Clayton page notes, the Whites are said to have been aof Scottish origin but the online pedigrees give them an English origin.

Those groups are rather amateurish, aren't they?Paulo, as has been noted before; please use this newsgroup for medieval genealogy; and seek one of the many very active facebook groups for other topicsThe generations that need further checking are Isaac White and John White with the supposed move from Virginia to South Carolina. So? I know this is beyond the time span of the newsgroup, but I find this the best genealogy group.
