From Will Johnson@21:1/5 to All on Wed Feb 2 07:52:05 2022
While browsing around apropos of nothing, I happened to land upon a tidbit

John /Strode/ of Parnham, co Dorset; Knt 1623
d 1642 at the Temple; "aged 81" [sic]
    married twice

his first wife was Anne /Chaldecot/ buried 11 Aug 1621 Beaminster
by his second wife Anne /Wyndham/ [Will dated 12 Nov 1643, proved 28 Nov 1648 (PCC 167 Essex)]
    he had

John /Strode/ of Chantmarle, co Dorset; Knt
    and
    George /Strode/ , Knt

George descends further to Elizabeth Seymour (1716-1776), suo jure 2nd Baroness /Percy/ ; W

Going back to Anne Chaldecot, I could not figure out her line and "Chaldecot" seemed like an odd way to spell Caldicott

    However..... (continued in next post)

Anne Chaldecot was married previously, to Robert /Bingham/
he was the heir apparent of his parents
Robert /Bingham/ of Binghams Melcomb, Dorset d 1593
    and
Jane /Williams/ (daughter of Robert /Williams/ of Herringston by Anne /Trenchard/)

Robert Bingham (jr) d.v.p. so he never inherited Melcomb which instead when to his son, another
Richard /Bingham/ of Melcombe, Dorset; esq died 1656 husband of Jane /Hopton/ d 1635
