Hello,
While looking at the catalog for the National Archives for entries about the Brereton of Malpas, we can find a few in which some of them appear together with one or more Cawrdens or Caurdens.
Does anybody know about this family, which seems to start with Thomas Caurden de Caurden living in the 15th century?
We have for example:

I have not been able to find such a family in Cheshire, but apparently it continued because there is also an undated entry, assuming Carden, Caurden and Cawrden refer to the same family.

.
I ignore if this family was armigerous, and if they were related to any other family, but the mention of Thomas Caurden of Caurden puzzles me. I assume Caurden or Cawrden was a known place.
