    _Maryland Historical Magazine_, vol. 21, no. 4 (Dec. 1926), p. 311, gives the following information on Anne Mynne's (Lady Calvert's) mother, Elizabeth nee Wroth:

    "Elizabeth (Wroth) Mynn's second husband, Nicholas Boteler of Netherhill [sic; recte Netherhall], Essex, was the brother of Richard Boteler who married [her first husband] George Mynn's sister Ann, and of Margaret, wife of Nicholas Bristowe of Ayot St.
    Lawrence, Herts. Nicholas Boteler, after Elizabeth's death, married (2) Ann, daughter of James Houghton of Wormley, Herts (she being the widow Kenolmarsh) and (3) ? Greville, dau. of Sir Edward Greville."

    The source for all these marriages, not mentioned in Cussans or Chauncey, is Robert Clutterbuck's _History and Antiquities of the County of Hertford_, vol. 2, p. 476:

    It gives a similar list of Boteler wives to that found in the _Maryland Historical Magazine_:

    1. Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Thomas Wroth of Durance in Enfield, co. Middlesex, widow of George Mynne, Esq.

    2. Anne, daughter and heir of James Houghton of Wormley, widow of [____] Kenolmarsh

    3. [______], daughter of Sir Edward Greville, Knight

    IGI shows a date for the first marriage;

    Name Nicholas Butler
    Spouse's Name Elizabeth Mynne
    Marriage Date 31 May 1593
    Marriage Place St Giles without Cripplegate, London, England, United Kingdom

    Information on the second marriage appears to come from the Visitation of Hampshire (Benolte), p. 102:

    I believe the third marriage is confirmed by Nicholas' will (the 1638 PCC will of Nicholas Boteler or Butler of Wormely, Herts).

    Reference: PROB 11/176/117
    Description: Will of Nicholas Boteler or Butler of Wormley, Hertfordshire Date: 31 January 1638

    While the will doesn't mention any Wroths or Mynnes, It names Nicholas's wife DOUGLAS. Sir Edward Greville of Harold's Park in Waltham Holy Cross, Essex, had a daughter Douglas Greville not otherwise known to have married. Waltham Holy Cross, Wormley,
    and Roydon (where Butler's property of "Nether Hall" was situated), are all very close along the Hertfordshire-Essex line.

    Nicholas Boteler's will mentions his "friend" Sir Francis Swift, who was married to a sister of this Douglas Greville. Here is what Doug Richardson says about Sir Edward Greville's family ....
