• Re Isaac Lefevre

I had a look at the Trees on Ancestry.com, just curiousity to see what
happened to ancestors who may have gone to Australia. I see there a
large number of Trees with Isaac Lefevre, born in Lincolnshire about
1818. You will need to re-write much of your Family Tree. It was a
different Isaac who was Tranported, but he doesn't show up on any
list, until an Old Bailey Trial in 1835. There is second trial in
1836, then a third trial in 1837. On the trial details from Ancestry,
25th February 1837, Case No837, Isaac Lefevre and William Lefevre were
indicted for stealing a Milk Pail.
In their defence each stated that he was with his brother, they were
    each found guilty;
I LEFEVRE- GUILTY Aged 20 Transported for Seven Years
W LEFEVRE- GUILTY Aged 22 Confined Six Months

I already knew that William, my G G Grandfather was William deceased,
from this William's marriage cert. Now with some tips from a fellow
researcher I learned that this earlier William was married to Anne
Crudgington in 1810 and they had two daughters before William. William
died in 1819, Anne re-married, David Baron. Anne was widowed again
with Baron's death in 1839. Several years on she was being questioned
about her right to be living in the parish, and said that her first
husband was the son of David Lefevre, a Master Tailor. Haven't found a
birth for him, it has been estimated that this was about 1754, he
married Lucy Harman in Cambridge in 1773, Thomas was born to them in
1775 in Cambridge, then they came to London and begat Henry in 1783
and Ann in 1785, then William was born in 1792.
So there you are Tree Builders, an expansion into England.

    Regards, Alec Lefevre

    Hello Alec

I don't know if your post was meant for anybody in particular but I have to tell you there appears to be only two of us who look at this site these
    days.
Perhaps you meant to post this elsewhere and hit the wrong button.

Whatever you meant or wherever you are Merry Christmas

    Regards
