• Ryerson Index problem?

    From Percival P. Cassidy@21:1/5 to All on Thu Feb 28 17:38:46 2019
Anyone else having problems with the Ryerson Index? I wanted to check
again an obituary reference I had found within the last few years, but
it did not show up at all.

I'll leave it as a general question for now, without giving the precise
    name.

    Hi Perce

Without details it's hard to tell in which way it's not working for you.
I just put in a generic name with dates between 2000-2019 and got lots of records.

I don't do obituaries, Kate, so there won't be any from my paper, but
the OP is quoting a reference that apparently worked before. The most
likely problem is a transcription error. Are obituaries treated
    differently?

    Doug.

I agree about a transcription error Doug. I think the site gives a reference
    to any notification in print.
Perhaps the OP could try tweaking his entry instead of being too precise

Sometimes families place a loved one in a home close to them for visiting purposes.

Yes, she shows up there. But I'm sure the only place I could have found
it originally was in the Ryerson Index -- even though I cannot find an
obituary anywhere in a newspaper, so how could it have been indexed in
    Ryerson?

    Strange.
