• PETER PORRETTO

    This is my first post.

I am searching for any records of my great grandfather, Peter Porretto. I'm sure he was called Pietro, however they may have named him Peter. He was born either 1832 or 1837 in Palermo. Married to Francis Corollo Porretto. She probably was Francesca, or
maybe not. He died in New Orleans where he lived the latter part of his life. He had nine children.

My search has been unsuccessful beyond him or his wife. ANY information that could be shared would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Charlie Porretto

If you have not seen Peter's entries in the 1900 & 1910 Federal
Census, they are available free at this website
    https://familysearch.org/search
The 1900 has a transcription error showing him as PERRELTO, so search
    on both spellings.

Also Ancestry.com has same Census listings, plus several Member trees
that mention Peter. Many libraries offer free access to Ancestry.
