My aunt's father was born in Genoa, Genova, Italy in 1893. He was an
orphan and may have been born in the orphanage where he lived in Genoa. He was adopted but kept his birth name, Louis Cobia. He immigrated to the USA in
1908 and it was believed he did so on his own.
I am helping my aunt find any information regarding the situation of his
birth and information about his birth parents.
I have tried Ancestry and the LDS sites with no success. Any suggestions? Thanks,
