Is anyone using Legacy v9.x on Windows XP?

    How well does it work?

How much memory does it need?

Just try the freeware version and give it a try.

I used it on MacOS and did not like it.

That just goes to show how it's all just personal preference.

I personally feel that Legacy 9.x is the most user-friendly genealogy
program out there. It fits perfectly for the way I prefer to work. I had >RootsMagic at one point, hated it, and switched back to Legacy. I've
also tried PAF, Family Tree Maker, Ancestral Quest, GAMPS and others.
You name it, I've probably tried it. (Unless it's Mac only)

Oh I like the user interface of Legacy, but it appears that version 9
is such a memory hog that I would have to buy a new computer, which,
    as a pensuioner, I can't afford.

Rootsmagic 7 still lets me interface with FamuilySearch, Legacy 8.x
    doesn't.

I always end up going back to Legacy. :)

That's why I recommended to the OP that they should download the trial >versions of several different ones. Try them. Then decide which one THEY
    like the best.

Asking other users what they like is pretty pointless. Everyone will
have their own opinions and in the end none of those opinions will mean
squat to the OP. What will matter is which program the OP likes.
