Since it is now December 31 in Scotland, and indeed it is also
a bit after midnight here on the Avalon peninsula of Newfoundland,
Hogmanay Blessings to any readers, partly in memory of my
maternal grandmother Mary Walker.
Some may be interested in my thread New Years checklist
just on alt.magick where I am trying to make it a day
when pigs fly (although I know that the name Hogmanay
is not really related to pigs, but I like wordplay).

Pigs are air-freighted, so they DO fly.

Ha, good one.
And I guess turkey is common on Christmas Day and many people
have ham on New Year’s Day.
And Tibb’s Eve is every December 23 here in Newfoundland. :-)

According to Wikipedia Hogmanay is often extended to the
morning of January 1, and sometimes even to the bank
holiday January 2. But since January 2 is a Saturday, is
te the bank holiday Monday? In that case it could be an
extended Hogmanay from Thursday to Monday. :-)

Not lately, not since I met her on stage on Nov. 22, 2014, and
the last (silent) sign of romantic interest I had from her was on
the night of May 13, 1995. But I still hope that she will
call me up some night. However I am open to other women
unless she tells me not to be, but during this pandemic there
is not a big chance I will hook up with anyone.
Cheers, though I used up all my beer last night.

Though it is very early on Hogmanay here on the Avalon peninsula
of Newfoundland, it is later in Scotland, and much later in New Zealand,
and may be even later by the time you read this.
