On
http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/aug94.html I wrote
"On Saturday or Sunday [Aug. 20--21] I was sunbathing on the back steps when some wasps started to bother me; I at first ignored them but eventually tried to shoo them away and got stung twice (once on Sat on the back of my right
calf and once on Sun on my inner right calf). After that I jut ignored them
and sent waves of love instead of fear and they didn't sting me again. I
didn't have any adverse reaction, although felt an unearthly chill in the
legs the following week and was going to get my thyroid checked but the chill faded late in the month. This is like the "chill of Math" which the great
druid Math (little bear in the sky) casts on Gwydion and his brother before their transformation, in the Welsh Mabinogion.”
Following that chill, in late August and early September of 1994, I had my fifth and final waning crescent high.
Well, yesterday and today I again have such a chill, all over this time, and
it is now waning crescent, leading up to new moon the night of December 25. I don’t expect a waning crescent high this time, especially since the sunspot cycle is very low, but do hope to come out of my over 23 years of low years (instead of the usual 7) into a period of centred clarity and sustained productive creativity.
However it could be just the early stages of a cold, possibly picked up Wednesday night when I was out catching live music and quaffing four pints of Smithwick’s. But I don’t have any symptoms yet other than the chill.
