Communism and socialism is kept in power by theft of individual rights. The communist/socialist regimes have failed the people with their totalitarian atheistic state which seeks to only keep their political party in power. There are no economic benefits
to all the people because communism/socialism is based on theft of other people's wealth with no individual freedom of religion, freedom to self defense, freedom of enterprise, and freedom of work, speech etc.
Communism/socialism prevents economic growth by monopolizing wealth for their monolithic political police state not all the people.
