    Why are these questions important?
    If you have democracy on your mind, what is the linkage between
    "democratic political system" and democracy?

    For example, does the US "democratic political system" has the
    consent of the governed?

    So it's easy for the politicians to hoodwink them with flim flam!

    Most of the people don't read a whole lot is ALWAYS TRUE.
    Yet modern day free education and press still could not preclude politicians from hoodwinking the people with flim flam. Are you suggesting "Democracy"
    as preached in the West/America never truly exists?

    And your point about presidential election?
    The following from your posts:
    1. "Most of the people don't read a whole lot, so they're uninformed!
    So it's easy for the politicians to hoodwink them with flim flam!"
    2. "Every country is run by gangsters!"

    1 + 2 ==> No democracy everywhere.

    1 + 2 ==> No democracy everywhere.

    It is going to far to say every country is run by gangsters. At the same time, many Western countries seem to believe ritualistic voting as necessary
    and sufficient for democracy for them. But not for other countries which also have ritualistic voting. For example, the US holds itself as the paragon of democratic but consider Russia autocratic. In reality, it is democracy by faith
    plus a large dose of "holier than thou" and/or ethnic superiority.
