The US is doing to China what it did to Japan in the 1980s and 90s - killing off competitions in semiconductors against the US. It is doing this with what it frequently accuses China of - State subsidies of industries. It is providing State financing to
US semiconductors companies.
The US has a good lead over China in semiconductors. It would be difficult for China to play catch-up. It would be better for China to start a paradigm shift in information technology.
China should go beyond binary semiconductor, binary switching and binary string processing.
China should research and develop new material which can support multi-level switching and multi-dimensional data processing.
