"On the brink. That’s how we tend to think of humanity’s predicament during the most dangerous moments of the nuclear era. But as Thomas Schelling, the godfather of nuclear strategy, once pointed out, the phrase is misleading. The nuclear frontier is
not “the sharp edge of a cliff where one can stand firmly, look down, and decide whether or not to plunge,” he wrote, but rather “a curved slope that one can stand on with some risk of slipping”—the slope getting steeper and riskier “as one
moves toward the chasm.” Now the slope is getting steeper before our eyes.

That’s not just because of the potential for Russian President Vladimir Putin to use nuclear weapons in a desperate effort to avert defeat in Ukraine. It’s also the result of a threat that isn’t making many headlines but that experts are currently
concerned about: North Korea’s development of tactical nuclear weapons—less explosive, shorter-range arms designed for use on a battlefield. "

Besides North Korea and Russia, one has to add China. Pelosi's impulsive visit, while did not change the situation on the ground, is effective in destroying China's trust on US over its commitment to the "One China" principle. A lot more nuclear weapons,
tactical as well as strategic, are the only way to ensure PEACEFUL reunification.

Last but not last, the US had deployed tactical nuclear weapons in various parts of the world for decades. The following is a list per 2022 update.

    Country Base Nuclear Weapons
    Turkey Incirlik Air Base 20
Belgium Kleine Brogel Air Base 15
    Netherlands Volkel Air Base 15
    Germany Büchel Air Base 15
Italy Aviano & Ghedi Torre Air Base 35

"TOKYO, August 8. /TASS/. The United Nations will not be able to respond in any form
to a potential nuclear conflict, because in case of a global nuclear war there will probably
be "no UN, able to respond anymore," Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told journalists in
    Tokyo.

"I believe that if nuclear weapons will be used, there is probably no UN, able to respond
anymore," he said, answering to a Japanese reporter’s question about a possible UN response
to a hypothetical use of nuclear weapons by Russia in Ukraine.

The UN chief also said he was certain that a nuclear war would mean "the destruction of the
    planet.""

If these are not US bases, one can be sure US will accuse them and will ask IASA to investigate and they frame them too. If US believes in "equality of power", they should ask IAEA to send a team to check these bases to investigate whether they deployed
tactical nuclear weapons there or not. They should investigate if the US will have white vans running around highways carrying things away when the team visited them. And in order to be fair for making fabrication, the team should be made from outside of
US and its allies, so they can order an visit again until a fake report is done up for a UN airstrikes on them.
