Death penalty would be bad for Hitler [millions dead], Breivik [77 dead]?
Was it unfit for McVeigh? [168 dead]

Difference between "VERY HIGH crime" (extremely rare) and "no human"
    (never ever) is fundamental.

Even he meant it as truth, but seriously, should don't take Trump's word at all. He wants someone to do what he wants and he sing the way he sang. He finally found the pig head, Pompeo, to be his sidekick, and use him to do the biding for him.

When comes to talking, he is a manipulator. During his past election rally, he said nice about China and not nice things about Russia. But when won his election, he turned his word, and attacked and teared China to pieces with one executive order after
another, non-stopped. He is sly and cunning and twisting and doube-standards.

Dead penalty could deter, to some degree, drug availability.
But supply is largely a response to demand. The US government had tried for decades to stop the inflow
of narcotics. Despite billions of dollars spent, drug inflow continues.

Death due to drug overdose, along with alcoholism and gun violence are manifestation of millions of
Americans in deep despair. Don't think death penalty could provide a lot relief while the "Epidemic of
    Despair" is still ongoing.

In some countries, they adopt death penalty for narcotic, murder, and possession and or use of guns, too. When seriously enforced, it can clean up the country. People can then feel the surrounding is safe. They have no fear of seeing drug peddler and gun
    fights, too.

Not people with relative short cultural history and stagnant/declining economic prospect like the US.
