The US Economy Is Headed for a Hard Landing ..

If you're still holding out hope that the Federal Reserve will be
able to engineer a soft landing in the US economy, abandon it. A
recession is inevitable within the next 12 to 18 months ..

First, persistent price increases .. Second, .. failing to bring
inflation back down would be disastrous .. The production adjustment
is likely to be abrupt .. The broad US equity market is down more
than 20% .. As inflation outstrips wage growth, the personal savings
    rate has plummeted ..

Finally, economic history points to a hard landing .. The US economy
has plenty of momentum but rapidly disappearing support. Falling
back to earth will not be a pleasant experience ..

All politicians should have a job requirement to attend
regular meetings of a spiritual recovery program, to learn to be
more honest and less selfish! Their jobs are way too important,
and people are too imperfect, for them to be left to their own
wherewithal! Then, the principles of the program will trickle
down to others who need them!
