More of my philosophy about the first HP-35 pocket calculators and more..
Hewlett-Packard co-founder Bill Hewlett issued a challenge to his
engineers in 1971: Fit all of the features of their desktop scientific calculator into a package small enough for his shirt pocket.
They did. More than 100,000 HP-35 pocket calculators sold the first year
at $395 each.
