Will America start a war with China over the Taiwan issue?
Taiwan matters little to the USA, it just wants to dominate China, and Taiwan is an excuse.

If the USA wants a seriously bloody nose, then sure, start a war with China.

Rather than trying do do down China, maybe the USA should copy some of what China does and generally lift its game. YouTube videos of people in the street spaced out on drugs, crapping everywhere and tents along pavements are not a good look for a ‘
superpower’.

I personally don’t see what Strategic interest the US could possibly have in Taiwan at all. Is it to protect the worlds greatest shipping routes that China needs as well? Think about that. Surely China wouldn’t want to see those trade routes
compromised either?

It certainly can’t be because Taiwan is a direct threat to American soil? Should the CCP take Taiwan, the only thing it’s going to do is give the PLAAF an extra 120 mile advantage. And 120 miles is nothing at all in terms of the distances of the
Pacific.

I have posted this before, but I think that this could apply to the US as well.

Taiwan is just a pawn on the chess board for US to use as leverage and poking stick to irritate and infuriate China.

If China fired the first shots, then China becomes the aggressor while US becomes the heroic saviour. In the mean time Taiwan serves as an excellent market for excess arms inventory and obsolete sales at very high premium prices.

In short, Taiwan is a cow for regular milking and later to be push into the war river to feed the crocodiles.

The CCP entity is the typical fascist police state bully. The CCP threatens the ROC because they fear the spread of the democratic values of freedom and human rights. Taiwan/RoC evolved politically while Mainland China remains true (false) to its
historical authoritarian past, an embrace that continues into the present.
