What is the historical background of Chinese people eating almost everything as a food?
Starvation and famine. When the alternative is starving to death, you look around and see what you can eat.
One thing that I found interesting is that when I grew up, my father would take me to the African-American part of town and get pieces of meat that he couldnt get anywhere else. It turns out that the life of a poor Chinese peasant and an African-American
slave wasnt that different when it came to food, and so you made sure that every part of the pig and chicken got eaten.
