Between the USA and the People's Republic of China, who will win the arms race putting in consideration the new hypersonic missiles recently developed by the Chinese military?
It isnt an arms race but a tech race. The US military has overwhelming superiority because it has money and it has tech. The dangerous thing about tech is that there can be some tech development that renders your military obsolete.
I think if the US makes the stupid decision to fight that China will win. The problem is that the *goal* of US policy is permanent global hegemony. The only way you can get that is to try to blow up the Chinese economy.

If the US goes down this path, then it will end up exhausting itself. My big worry isnt that the US will lose, but as it is losing it will do something crazy and desperate that will end up destroying the planet.
