    Yes, extremely difficult.

USA has very few advantages against China. USA has very little leverage.

USA outspends China militarily by a large margin.
USA has a larger military. USA has a dozen supercarriers.
USA is in hock to its eyeballs in debt ($30 trillion), nearly all of it due to endless money printing.
USA is suffering from severe social unrest…January 6, 2021; deep political division; government gridlock; crumbling infrastructure; health care crisis; homelessness and housing crisis; extreme economic inequality; opioid addiction crisis; rampant gun
violence; systemic racism; mass incarceration; pandemic fuck-up, etc.
USA is losing friends and influence around the globe.
USA has lost its competitive edge economically and technologically.
    China has major advantages…

China’s government enjoys the full support of the people.
China spends its money on economic development rather than waging wars around the globe. China builds while America bombs.
China is helping countries in the Global South, as well as in Europe, build their infrastructure via the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
China is helping countries in the Global South vaccinate their populations as the rich Western nations have abandoned them through vaccine hoarding.
China is engaging ASEAN countries in peaceful trade through RCEP, the world’s largest free trade bloc.
China is inviting all nations to participate in its space station program, included the United States. Recall that USA banned China from the ISS.
China is pursuing diplomacy throughout the Middle East rather than bombing the shit out of the region. Recently, it signed a 25-year cooperation deal with Iran.
China is negotiating with the Taliban for the future of Afghanistan instead of invading and occupying the country for 20 years.
China, Russia, and Iran have forged a solid relationship.
