The remilitarisation of Japan is no myth.

There was no discussion or debate in the UN about the remilitarisation of Japan during the 70th anniversary of the ending of WW2. On a speech to mark the occasion, present Japanese PM Shinzo Abe had this to say.

"In Japan, the postwar generations now exceed eighty per cent of its population. We must not let our children, grandchildren, and even further generations to come, who have nothing to do with that war, be predestined to apologize."

"We will engrave in our hearts the past, when Japan ended up becoming a challenger to the international order. Upon this reflection, Japan will firmly uphold basic values such as freedom, democracy, and human rights as unyielding values and, by working
hand in hand with countries that share such values, hoist the flag of "Proactive Contribution to Peace," and contribute to the peace and prosperity of the world more than ever before."

He made no apology for Japan's conduct during WW2. Instead he blamed Western Imperialism for causing Japan to become a challenger to the international order in place then and pushing Japan into the War. He did not wish to see future generations of
Japanese apologizing for the War. They will forget about it eventually.

He is playing on the Westerners zeal for freedom, democracy, and human rights, telling them that Japan is ready to join them to fight under the flag of these values, anywhere in the the world, knowing this will ease the way to the remilitarisation of
Japan. Abe is preparing Japan for the arrival of that day. His government has established a National Security Council and produced a National Security Strategy to make Japan functions better in a crisis, such as a war. It has reinterpreted the pacifist
Constitution to allow the country to fight in overseas wars in the name of collective self-defense. It has revived discussions on the acquisition of offensive strike capabilities. In short, Japan is working itself into a warring nation again.

Besides the hardware, most significantly, it is also building up the mindware and the heartware of its people. It is rejuvenating the pride and patriotism among the Japanese. Shinto Abe is revitalising Shintoism as the national religion of Japan.
Shintoism holds the belief that the Japs are the superior descendants of the Goddess of the Sun.

The Japs believe their nation is blessed with good fortunes. It ended the last war suffering only from two nukes, unlike Germany which was razed to the ground and massive number of its women became victims of vengeful sexual assaults from the invading
forces. In comparison, Japanese women ended the war with their modesty intact, despite the horrors that the Japanese Imperial Army did to women in the countries it invaded. After the war, regional and world situations favored the economic growth of Japan.
It grew into a world economic power. It may have lost the war but definitely win the peace. If that's not good fortune, what is?

National pride and patroitism, religious fervor and faith in their nation good fortunes, these are turning the Japs into a people with a superior complex, inspired to sacrifice their lives to fight ruthlessly in order to make their nation great. On the
practical side, they have the industrial might to help them along. The industrial might of Japan can easily be turned into a military industrial complex. Many of its globally thriving companies are also the sames ones before, during and after WW2.
Civilian technologies can be turned into military ones. The Japs have been secretly stockpiling weapon-grade plutonium gathered from their civilian nuclear reactors.

This is Japanese militarisation de jevu. To top it all, this time round it has its former enemy the USA to help it out. The Japs believe their beloved Japan is on its way to becoming a superpower. This is all taking the Asia-Pacific back to the future
    of Japanese aggressions and atrocities.

Meanwhile, Abe covers his real intentions with an angelic charm, always smiling while taking about forgetting the past, and working towards a peaceful future. The world will not be fooled. It only conjures up The Ghost of Japan once again. The last
time the Japs talked about a Greater East-Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere, it turned into a horrible nightmare for many of its neighbors.

The US is only obsessed with a rising China, occupied with forming alliances even with old enemies, to contain China. It is oblivious to any other rising dangers it may be creating for itself in the process. A militarily strong Japan will end up
hurting the US the most because the Japs have not forgotten who hurt them the most during the last War, nuking them not once but twice.

Those damned Americans are allowing the Japanese to re-arm and re-militarise. The Japs are building aircraft carriers and next generation fighter jets, with American blessings.

Those damned Americans are also encouraging Japanese aggression and expansionsim. They are roping in the Japs to "defend" Taiwan. The world still remembers how Japan invaded the Chinese island territory of Taiwan and then colonised it for about 50 years.
To the Japs, "defending" Taiwan means re-living those past 50 years.

A re-militarised Japan is a threat to East- and South-east Asia. These regions had experienced Japs aggression and expansion during WW2. These were followed by atrocious Japs rule. All these nations should realise that the Americans will force them back
to the future of Japanese atrocities. They should unite against this from happening.

Right now, China is the one which can prevent this from happening. The Chinese should bomb all Japs' sites which are carrying out advanced military development. If the Israelis can do this to its Arab neighbors, why can't the Chinese do it to the Japs?
