Where is the US-China relationship headed in 2022?
The US will resort to more drastic measures to try and stop China from overtaking them as the biggest economy in the world. If they are not careful, there could be war.

The US will try to create turmoil in Xinjiang. They have already declared ETIM as not terrorists and they are trying to make the lives of the people of Xinjiang difficult through a ban on imports from Xinjiang, taking away some of their earnings.

The fake news propaganda is sure to get worse, now that the US has an allocation of $400 million per year for badmouthing China. This amount has been approved in the Strategic Competition (against china) Act 2021.

The US may try to disrupt some of China’s BRI projects, especially in Africa.
